Support Israeli Families in Austin!

Shalom Austin Jewish Family Service is temporarily supporting Israeli individuals and families who are seeking refuge in Austin during this difficult time.

The JFS case management department works one-on-one to ensure their needs are being met.

Shalom Austin JFS is working closely with Austin Jewish Academy to ensure they have the infrastructure to support the growing demand.

Critical funding is needed now to support:

Basic Needs: affordable housing, transportation, food, and clothing
Education: providing support for AJA as they take in Israeli students; paying for Hebrew-speaking teaching assistants
Mental Health: trauma-informed counseling provided by Hebrew-speaking therapists

JFS is supporting families and individuals for up to two months and referring families to additional support in Austin if they decide to relocate here permanently. These services are for individuals and families in emergency situations.
